Are charitable donations tax exempt in Bolivia?

Peace and grace. With taxes on imports so high, is it worth for people to load suitcases with clothes, both old and new to donate to charity in Bolivia? I am a missionary and before this crisis, we had people travel from different parts of the globe and bring us suitcases of clothes and other items. Never charged.

HOWEVER, what if someone would want to send MANY items, for example educational didactics and clothing, and it is earmarked for Charity? Would we still have to pay airport import taxes? Would there be a waiver for faith-based giving?

Living in Kenya, we had sheets and pajamas flown in from London via Pilots without Borders, and it stayed in customs. We had to pay nearly USD300 in customs. Well, the sheets and jammies were very beautiful, but to shell out usd300.... a horror...

THANK YOU
