Bolivian Restaurant Review: Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant in La Paz, Bolivia

Being an Indian living in Bolivia, I have been missing home food for a long time. I have tried out some of the British run Indian restaurants here and never found it even close to any curry house I have been to while I was in London. I was introduced to Taj Mahal by a common friend and I decided one Friday to visit the place with my fellow Bolivian colleague. The minute I was near the entrance I smelt the sweet fragrance of the spices from home and I knew it. I am finally going to be home. The food is amazing and authentic, I had the Butter Chicken, Kadai Chicken, Butter Naan, Pickle or Achaar, and Basmati rice, which is specially flown down to Bolivia, and topped it all with some amazing Lassi salted. As I was enjoying the taste the punjabi music and was wondering what more, the owner surprised me with some REAL!! Indian Chai! on the house. I am sure going to visit again and taste the rest of the menu. Reasonably priced and a must visit if your an Indian or not an Indian to taste the Spice of India.
