Maybe it would be a good idea for you to print this page:

and take it with you. That way, when you arrive the airport you can show immigration that the government site indicates you can get the visa upon arrival.

It appears that Ethiopia is in Group II and therefore you will be able to get a 30-day visa on arrival.
