Cafes (Coffee Shops) in Santa Cruz
Restaurants | Food Home Page | Tourism | Plan Your Trip | Español
Cafes are where people usually gather to socialize on nice afternoons in Santa Cruz. Because we have such great warm weather almost year round, most have outdoor and sidewalk areas. In addition, it is customary to gather at tea time and after work. Cruceños (inhabitants of Santa Cruz) especially love this time as they like to see and be seen. There are numerous outdoor
restaurants
and
ice cream
parlors as well as
bars
and
bakeries
in addition to the coffee shops listed below.
There are two especially popular areas of Santa Cruz lined with dozens of bars, cafés, restaurants, discotheques and bakeries along Avenida San Martín in the Equipetrol neighborhood, and Avenida Monseñor Rivero, near downtown, beginning at the Cristo statue on the 2nd ring, and ending at the municipal library on the first ring. There are also dozens of other great restaurants all over the city. These are some of the most popular favorites among locals and foreigners.
