Dia de Reyes (Kings Day) in Bolivia

January 6th is DIA DE REYES in Bolivia. On this day we celebrate the arrival of the 3 kings, otherwise known as wisemen, who visited the baby Jesus and brought him gifts. In Bolivia children are given gifts and often this day is celebrated with a "chocolatada" (hot chocolate and cake or some other sweet). As most children are on summer holiday between school years right now, this is not celebrated in the schools. However, many daycare centers and orphanages do something special for the children under their care.
