Heaven and Hell in Sucre, Bolivia

Expectations: Most of the time, when I have high expectations for a place and a certain idea in my head of what it is going to be like, it doesn’t turn out that way at all. Sucre was one of these places for us. We had heard great things about the city – tales of scrumptious vegetarian food, a laid-back vibe, gorgeous architecture and finally: a town that wasn’t at 4,000m (13,100ft) altitude, which would make it much easier to enjoy the city and not being out of breath after just a few meters.
