Moving to Bolivia by: Oskenontón:’a
Shé:kon, I am a Kanien’kehaka (Mohawk) living in the United States and want to move to the Bolivian countryside. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I could go and what kind of costs I might incur? I would favor a town that speaks Quechua for the most part. Thank you for any help you can give in advance.

Good choice in my view by: Paul Danielson
My wife's family is in Bolivia and here in the USA. I plan to retire in Bolivia- Santa Cruz de la Sierra specifically. It is (currently) a cheap place to live (compared to SoCal at least)...especially if you are used to what the US dollar buys here.
Not completely convinced about the healthcare there but so far it seems reasonable, and it certainly is less expensive for stuff like quality cosmetic surgery. *wink, wink*
You will have to adjust to the culture of course, and some things are more expensive and/or difficult to find there compared to here, but as I said, I plan to retire there. If you can come back and forth as needed, I think it is an excellent choice. Of course you will need to be fluent in Spanish.

Definitely....Cochabamba! by: Karla
Hi, My name is Karla, I'm a Bolivian girl :)... exactly... I'm from Cochabamba. Cochabamba has the best weather of Bolivia not too cold, not to hot. It's called the garden city, because we have a lot of parks and gardens.... believe me is a beautiful city and it isn't expensive too.
Health care? I cannot complain about it! I had two critical accidents... and always I got a very good medical service.
Food? is the best.... maybe at the first you could get some complications with the change, but you'll get faster.
And.. Cochabamba is near to the other cities because we're in the middle of Bolivia!
