Hi:
Recently in April, the news that a 22-year-old male medical student in Boston, USA, alleged to have murdered a female masseuse and attacked at least two other escorts/prostitutes in hotels, made national headlines.
This threw the spotlight on the abusive situations such prostitutes face - starting from denial of basic human rights.
I'm interested in involving people from different Countries in a dialogue aimed at generating greater awareness towards their plight resulting in willingness to respect them and treating them like any other human being and also discuss measures of protection given to them in different Countries and would like to discuss this topic with English-speaking Bolivians, English-speaking Foreign Nationals residing in Bolivia and those who work with prostitutes here, for starts. I understand that most of the people do not like to talk about these things openly and ignore it, but doing so would do a lot to help them improve their lives. Are you willing to engage in a live discussion about this issue?
Thanks,
Allie
