While it is possible to find couchsurfing options in Bolivia through the various city groups on sites such as www.couchsurfing.org, it may not be a very safe option, especially for women traveling alone. A tourist from China was raped after using the site to book free accommodations for herself in a European country.

Their events may be fun and safe if you are participating in a group.

In addition, you should familiarize yourself with some of the crimes directed at tourists to ensure you don't suffer any physical harm or lose your belongings while in Bolivia.
