Ignore the idiots that reamed you. They are idiots likely travelling on their parents money. They are an embarrassment and should be treated much more harshly as they make normal, respectful gringos look bad. Sometimes I think the Bolivians are such humble people that they do not crack skulls when they should.

I live in Lima and do not suffer the presence of tourists ever. If I must suffer the presence of "party tourists" I am short, generally disrespectful and well, I know how to separate an idiot from his/her money.

I think I'll donate my next "tourist safety offering" to prison programs because of your article.
