Please advise on meal and hotel costs in La Paz

What is the cost of a nice dinner with wine in USD? (just average)... and we have reservations for several nights at the Eldorado Hotel, Av Villazon Sn in La Paz. cost $59.95 w/ taxes. Is this hotel a reasonable choice re: safety, cleanliness, food etc. for this price?

Prices will vary but on average for a gringo friendly meal you will be paying USD35-40.

I don't think you will be getting value for money at Hotel El Dorado. Perhaps you should try Hotel Rosario, or for a cute place to stay Hotel a La Maison in Sopocachi is a good choice.
