Swimming pools (balnearios) abound in tropical Santa Cruz where the weather is hot and humid 9 months of the year. Some are members-only. Others are parts of resort-style complexes open to tourists and the public as well. If you're visiting Santa Cruz, Bolivia during our hot months (basically anytime except June and July) find a watering hole near you and take a dip! Be sure to check water parks and country clubs for more pools!
