Health Alert: U.S. Embassy La Paz, Bolivia, April 14, 2020. Location: Bolivia. Event: Extension of Quarantine Measures in Bolivia.
The government of Bolivia has extended current quarantine measures through April 30, 2020. Visit https://bo.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/ for specific information on essential services and travel restrictions in Bolivia.
If the U.S. embassy is able to organize repatriation service during quarantine measures in Bolivia, passengers should expect the cost of a ticket to be much higher than normal commercial rates due to the economic and logistical difficulties of the current environment.
U.S. citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents (LPR) in Bolivia who seek travel assistance should fill out a
U.S. Embassy Repatriation Form to allow the Embassy to assist you if options become available. A form should be filled out for each member of a family or group requesting assistance. We ask that anyone who has previously contacted the Embassy by phone or email to again provide information on the Repatriation Form if you remain in Bolivia and need assistance. If you have already filled out a
U.S. Embassy Repatriation Form, it is not necessary to do so again.
