I might like to retire in Bolivia. I am 57. I will qualify for Social Security age 62. I would receive over 800 USD then.
I have 200k in mutual fund IRA accounts. I am not currently drawing on them. Would the investment accounts be sufficient proof of solvency, and demonstrate that I can afford to take care of myself for many years? I have other assets to draw on until 62. I prefer not to touch my retirement accounts until I turn 60.
