The Emerald tree boa is known to live in Venezuela, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Guyana, Suriname, and Northwestern Brazil. They live in the rainforest and wetlands of those countries.
The diet of the emerald tree boa consists of lizards, birds, small mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. These snakes are one of the most beautiful snakes out there and are also non-venemous, but don't let that fool you! Some of them don't bite, but others are quite snappy; however, they are constrictor snakes (giant snakes that suffocate their prey by squeezing it to death).
In the jungle they can be found in trees and are rarely seen on the ground. Some never touch the ground in their entire lifetime.
