Travelling from Apolo to San Jose de Uchupiamonas

Hello, I'm organising a holiday to Bolivia (July 2023) and I would like to include the Apolobamba trekking from Pelechuco to Charanzani and a stay at Chalalan lodge. But I've a practical question:

Would it be possible to travel from Apolo to San José de Uchupiamonas by car and then take the boat to Chalalan lodge? On my map of National Geografic there is a road shown, but I wonder if this is really the case, and if so, where can I organise this transport?

(Otherwise I've to take the bus back to La Paz and then a flight to Rurrenabaque...)
