We are planning to go to Bolivia for 2 years on a missions trip. How often can you leave Bolivia and for how long once you get the visa.

Up to 3 times per year and for no more than a combined total of 60 days outside of Bolivia per year.

Everyone (Bolivian, expats and tourists) pay exit taxes at the airport each time you leave Bolivia. If you are an expat in Bolivia, you will pay an extra exit tax that Bolivian nationals and tourists don't pay. They say it's to preserve your resident status.
