Consequences of Being in Bolivia Without a Visa
by: Altiplano Bolivia

Overstaying your initial Visa incurs a multa (fine) of 20Bs per day. You may also find that they are not happy to welcome you back in the near future, but is not likely.

To stay legally, and that is what you should do, you need to apply for a Visa Objeto Determinado at a Bolivian consulate outside the country, then once you enter legally again on this Visa, apply for a 1-Year Temporary Residents Visa.

You can change your tourist Visa to a Visa Objeto Determinado within Bolivia by applying at the immigration office, but this costs 2500Bs.
