Portobello mushroom (this one is also vegan)

Currently, not shipping, but the restaurant does make and sell its own frozen salteñas, in addition to serving you hot ones at the restaurant. So, call them up, reserve your salteñas, pack a cooler with ice, and stock your freezer, if you're near the Central Texas area!

Fiending for saltenas

Where in the fuck can a a guy with a severe saltena addiction order them via the internet to be shipped to his door these days? I used to get them all the time in northern Virginia but ever since I left that area and moved far southwest I've been unable to find a single place that sold the real deal, hand-made saltenas I'm so desperately craving.

I was recently in a food fair in Brooklyn, it is held every Sunday I believe. There is a stand called Llama Party Bolivian Food. They have good saltenas, some are made with quinoa. They are pricey but to eat once in a while its ok. They also sell "sandwich de chola" and that was delicious.

Well depends where u are located. I am in Ohio and chose overnight with Saturday delivery...it was too expensive. Next time I plan to get them on a 2 day delivery (weekday) which should be good enough during the winter. Check pricing with UPS and USPS from your area.

I just ate 2 salteñas in Ohio. They were FedExed frozen overnight. I could not tell ANY difference when compared to the salteñas I grew up eating in Cochabamba. I thought the price was reasonable and plan to order more soon. Hope this helps you. I know the craving for them when u are addicted and live abroad. After trying these salteñas I plan to cancel my next trip to Bolivia....I go for the food only ...just kidding.

If you go to the saltenasbebas facebook page mentioned below you will see two photos of saltenas in their profile album.

Please be aware that the photo of the plate of saltenas showing the filling inside one of the saltenas was taken from the Noly's World Cuisine website without permission and used to falsely advertise saltenasbebas saltenas.

That photo is of Noly's saltenas which can only be purchased from Noly's World Cuisine of Chicago, IL. We have asked bebas to remove the photo from their facebook page and to refrain from using Noly's World Cuisine photos illegally. Bebas has not complied and has not responded to our request.
